Woodland Park Fleet Maintanence
In 2011, CRP Architects was commissioned to evaluate the Woodland Park Fleet Maintenance building in Woodland Park, CO. The facility, originally built in the 1960's, was in desperate need of attention if it was going to continue serving its purpose. Through the evaluation process, it was determined that the building was beyond its serviceable life and replacement of at least part of the facility was the most cost effective solution. The City, using our audit and assessment study, successfully won a Department of Local Affairs grant to partially fund construction costs. Fast forward to 2015, and construction of the new facility was underway.

Flooded with natural daylight, the new repair bays will save energy, increase worker productivity, and provide a very comfortable work environment. The new building also features state-of-the-art fluid collection and distribution systems, a welding bay and metals shop. The design also integrates technology on an entirely different level than many similar facilities by providing wi-fi enabled portable diagnostic and reference materials at each of the work bays. As we approach the end of the year, we are thrilled to celebrate the opening of the new facility.

Congratulations to the City of Woodland Park for having the vision and determination to see this project through to fruition!
CRP's Brian Risley and Aaron Johnson attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony on January 13. However, this "ribbon" was made of steel and was "cut" with a hand-held plasma cutter! Taking ribbon-cutting to a whole new level.
